Blue and White family skate night was held, September 28th, at Stockton Indoor Sports Complex. We had about 50 people ranging in ages from 5 to 50 roll, bounce, and skate the night away. We had a blast skating and did even notice that we were burning hundreds of calories. According to the American Heart Association, roller skating is ranked among the best aerobic exercises and is equivalent to bicycling and jogging as a cardio workout. Roller skating is a workout that involves almost all of the body’s muscles and in particular the heart and it works most of the major muscle groups – glutes, quads, abdomen, calves and arms. But don't take our word for it. Click to find more reasons to roller skate. |
