Chapter History
The Omega Kappa Zeta Graduate Chapter was chartered in Brentwood, California on April 12, 2012 and covers the areas of East Contra Costa County and San Joaquin Counties in Northern California.
Early Contributions
In its formative years, Omega Kappa Zeta prioritized Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated’s national initiative, Elder Care. The chapter provided support for dementia patients and donated essential supplies to local senior centers. Additionally, they partnered with the Mocha Autism Network to raise awareness and challenge misconceptions about autism within their communities.
Ongoing Community Impact
Over the years, Omega Kappa Zeta has expanded its efforts by creating and supporting numerous community programs. In 2022, the chapter was honored with a proclamation from the City of Stockton in recognition of its outstanding service to the city and its residents. In 2024 Omega Kappa Zeta earned a prestigious Z-HOPE Award for Autism Advocacy at Zeta Phi Beta’s International Convention
Leadership Excellence
Omega Kappa Zeta is a chapter of leaders. Since its chartering, the chapter has proudly produced three elected state officers, three Regional Coordinators, and numerous members who have served on state, regional, and national committees.
Upholding Founding Principles
The Omega Kappa Zeta Chapter remains steadfast in promoting the founding principles of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated: Scholarship, Service, Finer Womanhood, and Sisterhood.
