Prospective Membership
Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. is comprised of over 125,000 members in more than 800 chapters through the United States, Africa, Europe, Asia, and the Caribbean. Zetas are a diverse group of college-educated women representing numerous professions including education, health care, information technology, engineering and science, accounting and finance, law and government, religion, entertainment and journalism. Zeta women influence the social, economic, and cultural structures of our society on a local, national, and international level.
Since our inception in 1920, we have addressed the relevant needs of our communities with programs focused on education, health and wellness, drug abuse prevention, economic development, and scientific research to name a few. Over the years, Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. has received accolades for its leadership and contributions to the community by charitable organizations and community leaders, various media outlets, and countless city, state and federal government officials, including past and current Presidents of the United States.
Minimum Educational Requirements for Graduate Membership in Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc.:
There is an expectation that individuals extended an invitation for membership in Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. have demonstrated a commitment to community service, scholarship, sisterhood, and finer womanhood. If you are considering membership, we encourage you to become familiar with Zeta’s Policy Against Hazing. You are never required to participate in hazing activities to become a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. In fact, members of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. and women who are interested in membership are prohibited from engaging in conduct that violates the Policy Against Hazing.

- Bachelor’s level degree conferred from that meets the Sorority’s accreditation standards.
- If applying within three (3) years after graduating with the bachelor’s degree, must have either earned at least a 2.75 grade point average on a 4.0 scale for the bachelor’s level degree or earned an advanced degree such as a master’s or professional degree.
- Must submit Undergraduate transcript to confirm eligibility for membership in a graduate chapter, regardless of completion of any advanced degrees (MS, MA, PhD, etc)
