Foundation Mission Statement

The rise of homelessness within the city of Stockton, CA. has become an epidemic. Many people in the community have become desensitized to the issues that many women are faced with. One often overlooked necessity is the the care of feminine health.

Our goal is to meet the needs of women who may not have immediate access to feminine hygiene products due to homelessness. Living in a shelter or even in encampments women are often faced with not having an adequate supply of pads/tampons. While many shelters provide tampons and pads to clients in need the amount given is often limited forcing women who are already in a sensitive situation to feel ashamed and or embarrassed.

It is our hope to provide each woman that we encounter with an adequate supply for the average 5-7-day menstrual cycle, along with other products for the care of feminine health.

Zeta Amicae of Stockton is an auxiliary of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated, Omega Kappa Zeta Chapter.
