According to the CDC, 1 in 88 children are diagnosed on the Autism Spectrum. Alarmingly, Black and Latino Boys and girls of all cultural backgrounds are diagnosed as many as 2 years later than other children. In a continuing effort to provide Autism Awareness to underrepresented Areas. the Omega Kappa Zeta Chapter has joined with the Mocha Autism network to kick off the #RoyalBlueForAutismAwareness Campaign.
The primary goal of the campaign is to use the power of Social Media to bring about Awareness to communities that don't generally discuss Autism or Autism spectrum traits. Participants will be asked to use their economic footprint to share information, resources and other encouraging words throughout April. there will also be other activities such as Twitter Chats and April 16th's picture day.
